Animated screen annotation for Windows

Show people where to look.

Cue puts animated annotations on top of any Windows app: boxes, arrows, step numbers, text. Each one is an object you can move, restyle or animate, and it stays on screen while you keep working in Excel, PowerPoint or the browser.

The problem

On a shared screen, people are always one step behind. They can't see where you're pointing, and by the time they find it you've moved on.

The tool

Cue puts clear, animated cues on top of any app, keeps them there while you work, and lets you move or fix them at any time.

Annotations as objects

Not ink. Objects that move.

Every annotation in Cue is a real object with its own animation, style and place on screen. It comes in, holds attention and leaves when you say so, and you can change it at any moment.

Animated

Entrance, emphasis and exit animations, with the speed you choose. Lines can be solid, dashed or dotted, with moving textures.

Editable

Select, move, resize, recolor or retype anything already on screen. Undo and redo every change.

Persistent

Annotations stay on screen while you keep working underneath. Nothing disappears until you clear it, erase it or set a timer.

Reusable

Save four presets of tool, color, weight and animation, and call each one with a single shortcut.

Three modes

Draw, edit, then get back to work.

Switching modes takes one key, so annotating never gets in the way of the app you are explaining.

DRAW

Cue takes the mouse or pen and creates annotations. The app underneath gets no stray clicks.

EDIT

Select, move, resize and restyle what's already on screen.

LIVE

Annotations stay visible and keep animating while your clicks go straight to Excel, PowerPoint or the browser.

The toolbox

Everything you need to guide the eye.

Built for Excel training, live demos, teaching and recorded tutorials. Works with a mouse, a pen or a Wacom tablet with pressure.

Shapes and arrows

Rectangles, ellipses, arrows and lines that draw themselves in, pulse and fade out.

Step numbers and click ripples

Number each step of a procedure and show exactly where to click.

Text boxes

Type a note right where it belongs, then resize it or change its text color.

Highlight, focus and redact

Bands for rows and columns, a focus area that dims everything else, and solid boxes that hide sensitive data.

Stamps and timer

Check and cross stamps for exercises and reviews, and a countdown timer for practice time.

Pen, highlighter and whiteboard

Freehand ink with pen pressure, and a whiteboard when you need a clean page.

Also in the tray

Small helpers around your annotations.

Lenses and zoom

Magnify a small part of the screen next to it, still or live, or zoom in on the whole screen.

Spotlight and cursor halo

Make the pointer easy to follow on a large or shared screen.

Keystroke display

Shows the shortcuts you press, never what you type.

Cue Mirror

A live copy of a window or screen area on another monitor, cursor included. Handy when you present on a shared screen.

Shortcuts

Always one shortcut away.

Cue lives in the system tray. Every shortcut can be changed in Settings.
